The Dillinger Escape Plan brought a rare show to San Francisco's very own intimate and loved for it's "small size", venue where you can get your favorite band's sweat on your face or a foot to the head if you're lucky, on their latest tour of only smaller capacity sites.
TDEP, who are on the verge of launching their sixth studio record Dissociation, due out October 14, 2016 just recently announced that they are going on “an indefinite hiatus” after the tour cycle for the upcoming album. Their next and possibly last tour is set to run across the US and Europe before TDEP, just puts on the brakes for a bit. Check out more show coverage on the full review on BAM Magazine!
Bay Area loved NAME opened the night...
The Bay Area based ZED Rocked The Bottom of the Hill recently in San Francisco. This night was a night of friends, great musical performances and of course, their newest album, Trouble In Eden, which was released Aug. 26th on Ripple Music.
The members of Zed: Pete Sattari (Guitar/Vox), Rich Harris (Drums), Greg Lopez (Guitar), and Mark Aceves (Bass). Zed will be on the road again this fall with stops in Washington, Oregon, California and Arizona. Make sure to catch them soon if you haven't already, as this band will always make you sway and groove to their unique sound and give you 110% each and every time.

Blackwulf was main support this fine evening and played a great set... here's a bit from the night
I had a chance to sit and chat with Cobi prior to the night’s performance, and do a little lighthearted interview which he actually didn’t know was scheduled, but humbly endured...
What I found out was that the Minnesota born singer, Cobi is very modest, he didn’t gloat during the interview about winning a MTV Video Music Award (with his former band Gentlemen Hall) or how he just came off the road as a guest singer with the huge progressive trance group Above & Beyond, playing some of the world’s best venues such as Sydney Opera House and Royal Albert Hall…

Royal Jelly Jive came out Swingin' at SF's Independent! The day was a special one for this fantastic group, (if you haven't caught these guys.. you must!), not only were they just featured at Bottle Rock 2016 but their latest album "Stand Up" also dropped today! I was onsite to witness the magic these fine musicians bring to the stage and got an exclusive interview as well. Check out more coverage on BAM Magazine.
With support by Growwler & Kendra McKinley... this was a night to feel the music and dance!
All Time Highs, not just another San Francisco Rock band... well they are locals but definitely a power house of performers... fronted by singer, Mark Osegueda (Death Angel), rolled through the famed Bottom of the Hill SF last week....

Here's a few shots from the night:
I had the pleasure to cover the Violent Femmes on May 10, 2016, night 1 of 2 Sold Out dates at San Francisco's Fillmore on their We Can Do Anything tour! And what a night this was... from the first verse, bass riff to the last drum hit, the Femmes entertained us off our happy nostalgic feet!

The Bay Area's own...and one of America's best Fleetwood Mac tribute bands...(hell they are even endorsed by Fleetwood Mac themselves); Fleetwood Mask took the stage and did something that does not happen at the world famous Yoshi's... They sold out the night!
Claudette Rodriquez captures Stevie as close as they come...bringing her spirit, essence and vocal styling to the stage along with a band of talented musicians and this is Fleetwood Mask. The photos only give you a glimpse, so do yourself a favor.. find a show they are playing and get yourself there.. promise you will not be disappointed.

Mark Redito: AKA Spazzkid was born in Manila and lives in Los Angeles. Spazzkid has been making waves over the last few years with his lush, glistening brand of synth-heavy arrangements, quickly scooping up a following after the release of his wonderful 2014 debut. Since then he's gifted fans with the EP Promise, as well as a number of remixes and a nation-wide tour along like-minded beat-maker, Giraffage, showcasing his energetic live set. Spazzkid has given word of a new shift in his repertoire as an artist-he's changing his name. That's right, Spazzkid is no more. But don't worry kids, the music isn't going anywhere! It has simply taken on a more personal tone that is more direct and approachable! ~DNA Lounge
The Phenomenauts took us through space and time with a stellar performance!!!

Sepultura, graced the stage of DNA Lounge for their 30 years Anniversary Tour...
I had the opportunity to catch Orgy once again. This time hot off their newest US Tour as they stopped off in San Jose's newest and best Rock venue... Here's a bit from the night:
I had the opportunity to work with Bay Area based musician Mark Blasquez recently as he is working on multiple upcoming and on-going projects. We strove to capture a few shots to be used in his upcoming EP as well as portraits for his acoustic and publishing projects. Finding that we had a common ground of artistic ideas and vocabulary made this a great shoot and looks like we will be collaborating in the future. Below are a few shots from our day...
Picture Atlantic, one of my favorite SF bands, was main support for the Black Map show last Friday at Slim's. Always energetic and breathing passion on stage... Here's a bit from their set:
Ghost Parade, brought their signature and ridiculous technical style to the show last Friday... check out a bit from their set...
Black Mvap at Slim's SF... just back from a successful European tour, the 3 piece Black Map comprised of Ben Flanangan (vox), Mark Engles (Guitar, also of Dredg) and Chris Robyns (Drums, also with Far), headlined Slim's SF Friday 6.19.15.
Here's a few shots from the night...
